The BITS Pilani Goa Summer Research Program (BGSRP) 2025 offers an excellent opportunity for young scholars and researchers to engage in advanced research projects under the guidance of experienced faculty members. This internship is designed for students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Science, Engineering, and Humanities.
Overview of BGSRP 2025 #
The program is hosted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, which is a prestigious institution known for cutting-edge research and academic excellence. Selected candidates will work on specific projects, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the latest research methodologies.
Program Duration #
The BGSRP 2025 internship will be conducted offline from the 1st week of June 2025 to the last week of July 2025, with a maximum duration of 60 days.
Eligibility Criteria #
To apply for BGSRP 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Should be pursuing Undergraduate (UG) or Postgraduate (PG) degrees from a recognized institution in India or abroad.
- Recent graduates (within six months of obtaining their degree) seeking research experience for profile enhancement may also apply.
- Must have a minimum aggregate of 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale at all levels.
- Students from the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:
- Engineering: Computer Science & Information Systems, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Sciences: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics.
- Humanities & Social Sciences: Economics and Finance, Humanities & Social Sciences.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are KVPY/DST INSPIRE fellows.
- No financial support (stipend) is provided to selected candidates.

- Ensure that all details are filled correctly, and upload the necessary documents.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Selection Process #
- Applications will be evaluated based on academic merit and motivation for research.
- Selected candidates will be notified via email and the BGSRP website in April 2025.
General Instructions for Selected Candidates #
- Accommodation: Available in the student hostel at subsidized rates.
- Food Facilities: Mess/canteen services are available on a payment basis.
- Identity Cards: Temporary ID cards will be issued for campus access.
- Project Report: Interns must submit a detailed project report and deliver a final presentation at the end of the program.
- Research Conduct: Interns cannot publish or present their research findings without written permission from their faculty guide.
- Attendance: Absence without prior approval may lead to termination from the program.
- Medical & Transport: These expenses are not covered by the institute.
