Introduction #
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata has announced its Summer Research Program for 2025, offering students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on research experience. This program is designed for students from B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech., and B.E. backgrounds, providing them with a platform to engage in cutting-edge research under the guidance of esteemed faculty members.
Objectives of the Program #
The primary goal of the IISER Kolkata Summer Research Program is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with:
- Exposure to advanced research methodologies.

- A chance to contribute to ongoing research projects.
Key Highlights of the Program #
- The 2025 Summer Research Program will be conducted offline at the IISER Kolkata campus.
- Hostel accommodation will be provided (subject to availability) on a chargeable basis.
- No stipend or fellowship will be provided.
- Students must commit to a minimum of 5 to 6 hours of research work daily for 60 days.
- Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate, provided their project report is approved by their supervisor.
- The certificate will be issued digitally via email.
