The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), a unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), offers internship opportunities to students pursuing technical and scientific disciplines relevant to space research and propulsion technologies. The internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience, engage with experts, and contribute to ongoing research projects at LPSC.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the LPSC internship program, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Should be enrolled in a full-time, regular on-campus program in a recognized university/institution (India or abroad).
- Applicable to students pursuing BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, BSc/MSc (Chemistry), and PhD programs.
- Students of BSc/MSc (Chemistry) can apply only for internships at LPSC, Bengaluru.
- Candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

The internship program is conducted in two slots, each having two batches:

- The internship duration ranges between 21 to 45 days.
- The number of selected students depends on the available facilities and demand.
Stipend and Benefits
- No stipend/remuneration is provided by LPSC/ISRO.
- Students get hands-on exposure to space research and propulsion technologies.
- Interns work under expert mentors and gain experience in high-end research projects.
- A completion certificate is awarded at the end of the internship.

How to Apply?
- Prepare Required Documents:
- A detailed biodata including educational qualifications, previous internships (if any), areas of interest, and work experience.
- Filled application form with necessary signatures.
- Declaration by the student and certification from the college Principal/HOD.
- Two passport-size photographs (one attested, one unattested).

- The acceptance or rejection decision will be communicated to the student’s institution (HOD/Principal).
- If selected, interns must confirm their acceptance and adhere to LPSC’s rules and guidelines.

The application form requires the following details:
- Personal Information:
- Name, gender, parent/guardian details, contact details, and address.
- Educational Background:
- Current course, university name, semester, and aggregate marks/CGPA.
- Internship Preferences:
- Type of internship desired.
- Location preference (Valiamala/Bangalore).
- Selected slot and batch.
- Declaration & Certification:
- The student must declare confidentiality compliance and agreement with LPSC policies.
- The college must certify that the internship is essential for the student’s curriculum and accept responsibility for any damage caused by the student.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Selection is not guaranteed even if a student meets all eligibility criteria.
- Due to high demand, students are advised to have alternative options in case of non-selection.
- Repeated failure to respond to selection emails may lead to disqualification of the institution’s students in future internships.
- Selected interns must strictly adhere to LPSC’s guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Internship reports must be submitted at the end of the program.
