Role Description
As a Technical Specialist – Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver key engineering components that meet business goals. You will play a pivotal role in the enhancement and deployment of applications, ensuring robust, maintainable, and well-tested solutions. This role involves mentoring junior team members and driving technical improvements across modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy source code, including configurations for infrastructure and applications.
  • Work with Java, Python, Apache Beam/Spark, and GCP (Data Engineering services).
  • Build and manage data workflows both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Debug, fix issues, and provide Level 3 support.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Implement architectural changes and contribute to continuous technical improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve software defects/bugs.
  • Collaborate across SDLC phases, contributing to QA strategies and architectural decisions.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and deployment instructions.
  • Manage application maintenance and technical change requests.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) – with a minor in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering.
