Job Description:
As an Associate QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the product by implementing and adhering to best practices in both automation and manual testing processes. You will work closely with software engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to test and improve the quality of applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test Case Development: Write manual test cases for new enhancements and automate them as needed.
- Test Coverage: Ensure comprehensive test coverage across the application.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Lead QA, software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts to triage and resolve software issues.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze application logs and investigate the root cause of reported issues.
- Test Execution: Execute both automation and manual test cases, record and analyze test outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep testing repositories and practices updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
- Automation: Identify and automate test cases to improve overall test coverage and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 0-2 years of experience in QA or related roles.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Solid knowledge of functional testing concepts.
- Familiarity with database access tools for reviewing test results.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills (preferred).
- Experience working within Agile-Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of testing tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar (preferred).
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work on separate issues in a fast-paced environment.
- High energy, proactive, and approachable personality.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields.
