Visa is hiring Software Engineer [2024/2023]

Job Description:
Visa, a global leader in digital payments technology, is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our team and help build cutting-edge Payment Management solutions. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and delivering scalable, fault-tolerant distributed components, enabling secure and seamless global payments. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 office days per week, with flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using functional programming paradigms.
• Review business requirements and prepare functional and technical design documentation.
• Create and execute comprehensive testing procedures for APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns, including end-to-end and integration tests.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure predictability, productivity, and high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews and oversee the team’s development and testing activities.
• Explore and evaluate new technologies through proofs of concept and technical reviews.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

• BE, BTech, or MTech degree, with graduation in 2023 or 2024.

Education Requirement: BE, BTech, MTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields

Technical Skills Required: Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting, RDBMS, functional programming, APIs, distributed computing, integration patterns, continuous integration, agile methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0-1.6 years of experience in the technology industry with strong coding and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in web applications, web services, Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting, and RDBMS.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, test/code coverage, and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude to collaborate effectively across teams.
