Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Digital IC Design Intern will include:

Collaborating with business teams and system engineers to define design specifications that align with performance and cost objectives.
Conducting high-level architectural analysis and exploring design trade-offs to ensure optimal IC functionality and efficiency.
Designing, simulating, and verifying digital circuits for various applications, including automotive, medical, imaging, power supply, and high-speed interface solutions.
Developing behavioral models and working on digital signal processing algorithms to enhance circuit performance.
Assisting in IC layout design to ensure high reliability and manufacturability.
Conducting prototype characterization, debugging, and validation to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Participating in design reviews, providing insights, and documenting technical specifications and design processes.
Coordinating with test and product engineering teams to facilitate the smooth transition of ICs from design to production.
Staying updated with the latest advancements in digital IC design methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Strong academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
Familiarity with digital circuit design, VLSI, and semiconductor fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for circuit optimization.
Hands-on experience with HDL (Verilog/VHDL), digital design tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics), and scripting languages (Python, TCL, Perl).
Basic understanding of FPGA design and implementation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
