Job Description:
Are you passionate about working with innovative security products? Akamai is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Security Team. Our team builds zero-trust security solutions, empowering enterprises with segmentation and threat protection. Powered by Akamai’s Intelligent Edge Platform, we mitigate threats like ransomware, phishing, DNS data exfiltration, and zero-day attacks while supporting enterprise network segmentation.

Responsibilities:

Build and enhance products/services for Akamai Edge and virtual machine-based products deployed within enterprise perimeters.
Take ownership of technical and product innovations, implement proof of concepts, and propose solutions.
Collaborate with software engineering teams in an Agile environment for code review, design, and product development.
Work closely with product management to enhance new releases.
Coordinate deployment strategies and system changes while participating in timeline planning and release schedules.

Requirements:

Experience in software development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Proficiency in coding with C on Linux.
Knowledge of Golang and Python.
Basic understanding of computer networks, including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, and DNS.
Familiarity with working in a Linux/Unix environment.
