IIT Gandhinagar Internship 2025 (SRIP) – Application Form, Last Date, Apply Online, Eligibility, Stipend, Key Dates & Projects

The Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) 2025 at IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) is an esteemed initiative designed to offer motivated undergraduate and postgraduate students an immersive research experience. This flagship program brings together students from prominent institutions across India, providing them with the opportunity to participate in innovative research projects under the guidance of IITGN’s distinguished faculty. Through SRIP, students gain invaluable exposure to advanced research methodologies, state-of-the-art laboratories, and cutting-edge instrumentation facilities.

Eligibility Criteria #

• Who Can Apply: Students currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputed institutions in India.
• Year of Study:
  • Undergraduate students in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year.
  • Postgraduate students in their 1st year.
• International Applicants: Indian nationals studying abroad are also eligible to apply.

Internship Details #

• Duration: A mandatory minimum of 8 weeks during the IITGN summer break.
• Mode: Offline (in-person) mode at IIT Gandhinagar campus. Students are expected to work closely with their faculty mentors on-campus, fostering direct interaction and collaboration.

Stipend #

A weekly stipend of INR 2,000 will be provided upon successful completion of the internship. The stipend for faculty-funded projects may vary depending on the specific project’s funding provisions.

Accommodation #

Hostel accommodation will be provided to all interns. Students are required to pay applicable hostel charges, currently set at INR 210/- per day.

Key Dates #

• Last Date: March 1, 2025
• Internship Period: Between May 5 and July 15, 2025
• Results Announcement: The selection results will be published on the SRIP website, and successful candidates will receive email notifications by the end of March 2025.

Internship Requirements #

• Project Work: Interns must work on a project under the supervision of an IITGN faculty mentor. They are encouraged to start preliminary work even before arriving on campus.
• Research Proposal: A research proposal must be submitted within one week of arrival at IITGN.
• Final Presentation: Interns are required to deliver a presentation showcasing their project outcomes towards the end of the internship period.
• SRIP Report: Submission of a comprehensive research report is mandatory at the conclusion of the internship.
• Poster Presentation: Mandatory for IITGN students, while external interns are encouraged to participate to showcase their work.

   • Personal Details: Full name, mobile number, nationality, date of birth, gender, and contact information.
   • Academic Information: Degree program, department, college name, year of joining, GPA/CPI/percentage.
   • Statement of Purpose (SOP): A well-written SOP explaining your research interests, motivations for applying to SRIP, and how your background aligns with the chosen project.
4. Confirmation: Indicate your availability to commit to the 8-week internship duration.
5. Submission: Double-check all details before submitting the form online. Note that no hard copies are required.
