Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Digital IC Design Intern will include:

  • Collaborating with business teams and system engineers to define design specifications that align with performance and cost objectives.
  • Conducting high-level architectural analysis and exploring design trade-offs to ensure optimal IC functionality and efficiency.
  • Designing, simulating, and verifying digital circuits for various applications, including automotive, medical, imaging, power supply, and high-speed interface solutions.
  • Developing behavioral models and working on digital signal processing algorithms to enhance circuit performance.
  • Assisting in IC layout design to ensure high reliability and manufacturability.
  • Conducting prototype characterization, debugging, and validation to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews, providing insights, and documenting technical specifications and design processes.
  • Coordinating with test and product engineering teams to facilitate the smooth transition of ICs from design to production.
  • Staying updated with the latest advancements in digital IC design methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Familiarity with digital circuit design, VLSI, and semiconductor fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for circuit optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with HDL (Verilog/VHDL), digital design tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics), and scripting languages (Python, TCL, Perl).
  • Basic understanding of FPGA design and implementation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
