Role Summary

Flowserve is looking for an Engineer, Associate to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and testing. This role focuses on improving quality, cost, and delivery using Lean and Six Sigma tools while providing engineering support in production departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing methods to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Investigate and implement project/capital equipment proposals, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Supervisors to achieve organizational goals.
  • Specify and acquire factory supplies to reduce costs and enhance effectiveness.
  • Ensure CNC programs, tooling, and fixtures are available to meet customer demand.
  • Troubleshoot processes and equipment to minimize production delays.
  • Develop profit and manufacturing strategic plans and track assigned capital projects.
  • Stay updated with advancements in machine tools, tooling, and methods, recommending innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Foster teamwork and treat all customers and employees with respect.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in driving cost reductions using Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, safety rules, and technical instructions.
  • Proficiency in advanced geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and statistical theory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical scenarios.

Education Requirement: BS or BA Degree in a relevant field
Technical Skills Required: CNC programming, Lean, Six Sigma, CAD, troubleshooting, manufacturing methods, advanced geometry, trigonometry, modern algebra, statistical theory
